My Class Mission & Teaching Philosophy
I believe all children are capable of learning and achieving success in school. My classroom will strive to be a community where all children feel safe enough to take risks, are enthusiastic about learning, and have the opportunity to show their unique strengths. I believe education should be fun, exciting, and challenging. If young children develop a love for learning at an early age, that love will continue to grow as they do. I believe Kindergarten is a VERY important year. Through the use of hands-on activities, technology, cooperative learning, and engaging projects I will do my part to encourage and motivate each child to become life-long learners and achieve at their highest level.
Education is a partnership between home and school and I’m always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Email is the quickest way to reach me, but feel free to leave a message on my phone too (it’s on silent during the school day) and I can return your call within 24 hours. As a mom myself, I understand what a big deal it is for me to be entrusted with your child each school day and I will treat each of them with the same love and respect I’d like my own children to have from their teachers. By working together, I believe we can make Kindergarten an enjoyable, memorable, and meaningful experience.
